ARIZA presents Volver a empezar, his debut album and the record that marks the beginning of Miguel Ángel Ariza’s most personal project after more than a decade fronting Madrid rock band Última Experiencia. Released in December 2022, Volver a empezar features eight songs where rock, pop, folk and psychedelia come together in a distinctive, contemporary and deeply emotional sound. Soulful guitars, melodic sensitivity and lyrics exploring transformation, scars and the possibility of starting again shape an album conceived as an artistic rebirth. A guitarist, songwriter and singer with an extensive career in Spanish rock, Miguel Ángel Ariza previously fronted Última Experiencia and performed with Wyoming y Los Insolventes. He has worked with producers including Juan de Dios Martín, Eugenio Muñoz and Eddie Kramer, and has shared stages with artists such as Miguel Ríos, Chris Isaak, Iván Ferreiro, El Drogas and Depedro. With ARIZA, that experience evolves into a distinctive rock project with a powerful, elegant and emotional live show. Backed by an outstanding band of musicians, ARIZA brings the songs of Volver a empezar to the stage in a show built for venues, festivals and curated music series.
